During the last week of November, 2016, North Hill students engaged in a school wide read-a-thon to help raise money for the Alzhiemer Society of Ontario, as a continuation of the Caring for our Community initiative.

Students interacted in various classrooms; elementary students and JK/SK’s shared and read books to our preschoolers, and toddlers.  It was such an exciting way to get children interested in curling up with a good book, and also sharing books with their peers and younger counterparts.  Through their efforts, we managed to raise a total of $1,934.00 that was donated to the Alzheimer Society.

Thanks to all North Hill students and staff for participating in the read-a-thon, and thanks to all parents who donated towards another important fundraising initiative, as we continue to “care for our community”.
